Is third time the charm for Ben Affleck?
The actor has just completed a 40-day stint at an in-patient treatment center — his third time in rehab overall — and has released a statement thanking his family, friends and fans for supporting him on his journey.
“This week I completed a 40-day stay at a treatment center for alcohol addiction and remain in outpatient care,” he wrote on Instagram. “…Battling any addiction is a lifelong and difficult struggle. Because of that, one is never really in or out of treatment. It is a full-time commitment. I am fighting for myself and my family.”
He continued, “So many people have reached out on social media and spoken about their own journeys with addiction. To those people, I want to say thank you. Your strength is inspiring and supporting me in ways I didn’t think was possible.”

The estranged spouses of ten years (who share three children) have settled their divorce, but won’t file it in court until Ben leaves treatment, according to E! News.
He voluntarily entered an in-patient facility last week for alcohol addiction — at Jen’s urging — and is expected to be there for at least the next 30 days.
